Janique Goff and the Water Sources Pollution Threat

Part of Janique Goff’s activities is her protest against pollution of water. It is a severe menace as only a little fraction of the earth’s water remains unpolluted and being used for drinking purposes. Water pollution is generally categorized in three ways according to their nature such as biological, physical and chemical changes that occur in the pollution level of water.  The quality of water is decreasing day by day and becoming hazardous to all living creatures. Nowadays even the river water is getting contaminated due to water pollution not only river water but also salt water also has been threatened by this water pollution.

There are wide categories of water pollutants. It ranges from disease creating germs to wastes that demands oxygen and these can be decayed by bacteria which live by oxygen. The second is mostly damaging as the bacteria quickly diminish the oxygen composition in the water and hence fishes which live in water will die. Another related type of pollutant which causes water pollution is water nutrients which cause extreme growth of algae along with other plants on the surface of water, depleting the oxygen level of water.

Janique Goff emphasized that water pollution is mainly caused by organic compounds. It is also caused by plastics, oil, pesticides and toxic chemicals which made the water more hazardous. The still undisputed oil spill in various places is the major source for water pollution.

Human activities is the most important  reason for these  types of water pollution It is mainly due to improper disposal of unwanted waste matters and less care taken for water protection.  Janique Goff is working continuously for conservation of water and also creating awareness against pollution of water.
